Quick and healthy 5 ingredient Peanut Butter Energy Balls. Loaded with oats, peanut butter, and chia seeds these Energy balls make the perfect healthy protein-packed breakfast or snack.

If you have a toddler at home you have probably wondered more than once if your kids are getting enough to eat. Some kids at this age are to busy exploring the world around them that they are not interested in slowing down to sit down and have a meal. Others, and I am talking from my own experience, are a little picky with food and refuse to eat what is serve for mealtime. Therefore it is very common that toddlers don’t eat enough food at one meal. But don’t stress too much–this is where snacks come into play.

Healthy, well timed snacks can help balance out an uneven diet and boost the intake of nutrients your toddler needs to be healthy.

Peanut Butter Energy Balls Recipe

These no bake Peanut Butter Energy Balls have become our staple on our home. They are super easy to prepare and you can have them ready in no time. I like to prepare a big batch at the beginning of the week so I can have them available whenever my son doesn’t eat enough for dinner. I always offer them to him after his meal since I never know if he had to much to eat (he won’t eat them if he is not hungry).

To make this Peanut Butter Energy Balls simply combine all 5 ingredients in a medium bowl. Stir to combine. Using your hands roll the mixture into small bite size balls and store in the refrigerator.

Ingredients:

1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup honey
1 cup rolled oats (ground into flour)
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1/4 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Combine all 5 ingredients in a medium bowl. Stir to combine. Place in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes so they are easier to roll.
  2. Using your hands roll the mixture into small bite size balls and store in the refrigerator

This is also a great activity to do with your child. It may get messy, but you’ll make memories.
