DC United Fans abound in our area especially with their new field. We are excited to share that Post Cereals™ has teamed up with Major League Soccer this summer again to offer limited edition cereals complete with collectible MLS player card cut-outs on the back of the boxes. As the official cereal of MLS they want to help bring excitement about soccer to families this summer and support soccer families. In fact, they are offering giveaways starting in July to win a $25 or $100 eGift card with your Ibotta app. Plus Post Cereals™ are giving away 3 Soccer Mom Survival Kits with DC Area Moms Blog during a LIVE on our Facebook Page the week of June 24th. More info below!

Soccer Family Staples with Post Cereals™

Being a soccer family always seems to keep us on the go with practices and games. We love watching our son on the field with his buddies. However, getting out of the house on time requires some planning on our part (especially with other kids around). Enter Post Cereals™. Our soccer player LOVES Honey Bunches of Oats™ and the yummy combination of crispy and sweet flakes, plus crunchy clusters, plus a touch of honey. And I love that he can fix this all by himself (along with his little sister). This makes our mornings easier when we are rushed, plus, it teaches them responsibility. As a kid, I too remember making my own cereal in the morning and feeling like it was a great start to my day. I am grateful our kids are able to start their mornings with a helping (or two!) or Honey Bunches of Oats™.

Moreover Post Cereals™ isn’t just for breakfast and snacks! Not only do they have gobs of delicious flavors including their famous sweetened crispy rice cereals Fruity Pebbles™ and Cocoa Pebbles™, but on their site, they have kid-approved recipes. Two of our favorites to make with kids are these Spring Nests and Chocolate Almond Protein Balls. Additionally, with the cereal boxes we purchased last summer, our son collected several MLS card cut-outs and know he will love collecting them again this summer. Right now, we are creating memories with our kids in the kitchen and Post Cereals™ is a big part of it!

Courtney Whittington
Courtney was born and raised in Louisiana where she met her husband (married in 2005). They have moved several times, but finally feel very settled in NW DC after moving back in 2016. She has four energetic kids: Cormac (2010), Evangeline (2013), Solomon (2016), and Antoinette (2019). She thinks motherhood is absolutely wonderful, but is constantly trying to figure out how to manage it all. She spends her days talking Star Wars, playing with legos, doing crafts, having tea parties, and chasing her toddler. Motherhood is wonderful and wild and in 2017 she banded together with other mothers to start DC Area Moms to inspire, learn, and grow together. She loves morning coffee, chocolate, chatting with people since she's an extrovert, a clean house (which is rare these days). She dislikes when her kids don't listen the first time, she abhors littering, and doesn't enjoy shopping.
