Sips, Sweets, and Sparkles Event and YOUR Attendance

0

Join us for our Sips, Sweets, and Sparkles Event on Thursday, November 8th from 10 am to 12 pm. (We did plan an event from 6-8 pm to accommodate SAHM/WAHM moms and Full-time Working Moms, but had to cancel the evening event because it wasn’t as popular of a time slot. Thanks for understanding!) The purpose of this event is to provide a fun time to be with fellow moms before the chaos of the holidays start! Come to sip on Mimosas or Champagne and snack on Georgetown Cupcakes AND samples from Vegetable and Butcher in Kendra Scott’s beautiful store. PLUS, each ticketed attendee will receive a SWAG BAG, chance to win GIVEAWAYS from local businesses, and a 15% discount code at the Kendra Scott register!

What to Expect at the Sips, Sweets, and Sparkles Event

Expect to have some fun with fellow moms! Also, get ready to get your make-up touched up by professional make-up artist Valerie Hammer.  Plus, Abby from Truly Yours Design Co. will be offering complimentary custom calligraphy frameable artwork on the spot! Kristina Sherk will take professional photos of our fun event for moms. You won’t want to miss it! Giveaways will start around 11:10 am (we know some people have school pickup!). But be sure to be there with plenty of time to get calligraphy done and your make-up touched up and get a sip to drink and bite to eat!  Really and truly, the whole reason we are doing this is to get together with you, enjoy the event amenities, and feel a little pampered before we all start pampering others over the holidays! So, please come and tell your buddies too! If you are reading this, then that means YOU should come. Seriously!

Giving Back with Eliana’s Light

Additionally, since we are gathered together, we are thrilled to partner with Eliana’s Light which supports local families with children who have complex medical conditions. Please help a fellow mom in our community by bringing an in-kind donation of a self-care item (e.g. aromatherapy heat wrap), a gift card (e.g., to Amazon, Target, or a gas station), and/or a toiletry (e.g. sanitizer, shampoo, etc.). Thank you for your generosity this season! We will be giving back to this as well!

Get Your Ticket Today — We Want to See YOU There!

Be sure to grab a ticket (TODAY!), grab a friend and enjoy some socializing with fellow moms to jump-start the holiday season! We genuinely can’t wait to see you!  DC Moms Blog was founded on the idea that motherhood shouldn’t be isolating, but something we should enjoy and take comfort in with others. Having events like these is one step towards the kind of community building we want to offer moms.

Big thanks to Kendra Scott for hosting us and for providing us with mimosas, champagne, and Georgetown Cupcakes! And a huge thanks to all of the businesses involved! Be sure to follow/like the businesses on IG/Facebook.

*Also, be sure to show your event ticket on your phone to receive the 15% discount at the Kendra Scott register!

While it is fun to attend events as an adult only, we KNOW it is hard to leave babies or find childcare! Please don’t let holding a sweet kiddo hold you back from coming to have some fun! We want to see you!

Courtney Whittington
Courtney was born and raised in Louisiana where she met her husband (married in 2005). They have moved several times, but finally feel very settled in NW DC after moving back in 2016. She has four energetic kids: Cormac (2010), Evangeline (2013), Solomon (2016), and Antoinette (2019). She thinks motherhood is absolutely wonderful, but is constantly trying to figure out how to manage it all. She spends her days talking Star Wars, playing with legos, doing crafts, having tea parties, and chasing her toddler. Motherhood is wonderful and wild and in 2017 she banded together with other mothers to start DC Area Moms to inspire, learn, and grow together. She loves morning coffee, chocolate, chatting with people since she's an extrovert, a clean house (which is rare these days). She dislikes when her kids don't listen the first time, she abhors littering, and doesn't enjoy shopping.
