This is a call for Art-loving children. In this class, children will dive into a spontaneous, but curated, exploration of color, materials and drawing, with the aim of developing a visual and symbolic language, while learning from modern and contemporary artists. We will imagine and paint, observe and draw. We will doodle what we see and what we imagine. But, most of all, we will learn from each other, look at the world around us, and treasure moments of wonder that will hold our childhood memories.
About the instructor:
Miranda Patricia is an artist and illustrator. She is also the creative force behind MangoStreet, a teaching Imaginarium in D.C. She grew up in México City and lived and studied in Kiev and Baltimore. Patricia describes herself as a “doodle-believer”. She loves pulling the threads of children’s imaginations so they manifest as scribbles, doodles, and, of course, snoodles with splashes of color!
