Prenatal Yoga is designed especially for the expecting mother. This form of yoga is tailored to meet the ever-changing needs of women in all stages of pregnancy. Denesia D. Rodgers, a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), offers prenatal yoga (virtually) on Mondays at 7:15 PM through Yoga District. Class will feature breathing techniques, opening the hips, pelvic floor exercises, guided meditation, improved circulation, preparing the body for birth, and an extended savasana (resting pose). Practicing Yoga during pregnancy can also alleviate many of the discomforts of pregnancy, such as nausea, constipation, varicose veins, swelling, back pain, and sciatica. The gentle movements offered throughout this class are intended to reduce the aches and pains that accompany pregnancy in a nurturing and supportive environment. This class is appropriate for all experience levels.
