Meet the Executive Team

We are thrilled DC Area Moms is here for area moms and families. We are under the umbrella of City Mom Collective and are grateful for our 80+ sister sites all over the nation! We love our community’s collaborative nature and our executive team helps keep things run smoothly with our site, articles, events, on social media, and with community building. We are so glad YOU are here!

Amanda Holliday-Bembridge

Social Resources Coordinator / Founding & Senior Contributor

Amanda loves supporting young children and their families as a doctoral student studying Infant and Early Childhood Development specializing in Infant Mental Health and Developmental Differences and through her work as a Judy Center Specialist here in Maryland. Years of working with young children and prenatal/postnatal mamas have given her hours of material that she is excited to share in her blog posts. (She had her half-Jamaican son born during a blizzard and traveled to the hospital in Uber. Just one of the fun stories she has to tell! When they aren't exploring every playground in Silver Spring, her family loves discovering new ways to have fun together around town on their bikes.

Chaia Morgan

Diversity Advisor / Founding & Senior Contributor

Chaia grew up in Hartford, Connecticut before heading to D.C. to attend Howard University. After college, she spent a year driving the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile (you read that correctly), before going to law school. Soon after, she met a handsome man named Derek, moved back to D.C., and got married. Chaia spends her days gushing over her two sons, drinking coffee (and Prosecco!), and baking sweet treats. Follow her @coesquire & @cupcakesbychaia.

Julie Hart

Monthly Events Guide Creator / Founding & Senior Contributor

Julie is a proud born and bred Texan, but has called DC home since 2001. She studied at the University of Texas and then moved to DC to get her MPA at the George Washington University. Julie worked for ten years for a Member of Congress, where she loved working to impact public policy. In 2013, her world turned inside out when she gave birth to twins and decided to become a stay-at-home mom. Currently, Julie lives in the H Street Corridor with her husband, two kids, and their increasingly grouchy senior dog, Presley. Yes, please: movie dates with her husband, trying new restaurants, exploring DC with her kids, last minute road trips, being outdoors, festivals (of any kind), girls’ night out, and a rainy day with “Pride and Prejudice.” No, thank you: hot and humid summers, mistreating animals, Legos (ouch!), public speaking, laundry, and raw fish.

Paige Janes

Sponsorship Coordinator / Founding & Senior Contributor

Paige is a DC area native who grew up in Bethesda, Maryland. After a 5-year stint in San Diego with her husband, they moved back to DC to start their family. They have one daughter, Coco (2016). Paige loves exploring everything the city has to offer, especially kid-friendly museums, parks, and coffee shops and is looking forward to discovering more as her daughter continues to grow. Paige loves coffee, pilates, and writing.
